Cycling Lifestyle AI Tool: offline, but not over yet
In 2023, NBTC launched the Cycling Lifestyle AI Tool: an innovative tool that used AI and Google Street View to transform streets all over the world into green, cycling-friendly environments. We are now taking the tool offline, but that does not mean the end of the project.
Open source available
The idea behind the AI tool is still highly relevant, but developments in the field of AI are moving at a rapid pace. In the meantime, new possibilities have emerged that have overtaken the tool. For this reason, the tool has been taken offline. However, the project continues: for the tech and AI community, we have made the tool open source and made it available via GitHub.
Global impact
We are proud that this project has inspired around 290,000 people worldwide and that we have worked together to make streets and neighbourhoods greener. On the day the tool went viral, an incredible 100,000 cycling-friendly streets were generated within just 24 hours!
