Connect from vision
NBTC is the national destination management agency for the Netherlands. We provide a national vision for tourism and its translation into practice. Based on this vision, we connect and facilitate cities, regions and other parties with knowledge and data, and we assist with issues related to positioning, destination development and marketing activities.
Together with the tourism industry, with regional and local destination management organisations and with provinces and ministries, we develop great initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of destination Netherlands. Yvonne Nassar, director NBTC
We serve all of the Netherlands. We position ourselves between policymakers, residents and businesses as an independent party. With a clear focus on the future, we share our knowledge and create a shared vision: what is needed now and later? We encourage exchanging ideas. We organise support for ambitious plans needed for destination Netherlands. Through this approach, we ensure that the Netherlands is more than the sum of its individual destinations and together we will make tourism and business visits in the Netherlands flourish in a beneficial way. Together we make the most of the Netherlands as a tourist destination.
Partners and collaborations
Both the challenges and ambitions for destination Netherlands are great. Ensuring that every Dutch person benefits from tourism requires balance – between visitors, residents and businesses. And we will only find that balance when we work together. This is why we operate in multidisciplinary teams, so we can collectively realise the ambitions we have for destination Netherlands. This includes various public and private parties, from within and outside the sector. In addition to DMOs, CMOs, governments and the business community, this also includes knowledge institutions, nature organisations, conference agencies, heritage locations and cultural institutions.
