Vison of the future: 'Destination Holland 2020'

Approximately 14 million foreign overnighting tourists are expected to visit Holland in 2020. This represents about a 30% growth compared with the 11 million tourists who came to our country in 2007. It works out to an average year-on-year growth rate of 2%. These figures emerged from the 'Destination Holland 2020' vision of the future. The report looks ahead to the future of inbound tourism in the Netherlands and is a useful guide for determining with public and private parties how we can respond optimally to likely long-term developments.
